What you need: Rolling pin, Quilting tool, 2 x 8mm black sugar pearls, white fondant, brown fondant (this colour was made with chestnut and cream sugarflair paste) Round cookie cutter that fits across the top of the cupcake. NOT PICTURED - Black fondant
Ice the top and middle of your cupcake with butter cream, roll out your brown fondant about 5mm thick and cut out a circle
My disks are usually thinner but I wanted to get some good expression on the dog's face so I rolled it thicker, add to the top of the cupcake
Using your hand smooth the icing over the cupcake
Using your quilting tool at the top in the middle make a little line for the frown line
On each side of the line make a short little frown line at the bottom and longer little frown line at the top
The frowns
Get some white fondant for the chin of the dog and make it into this shape (don't know what shape it is
Stick the chin on the bottom of your cupcake and make some little lines on it for character
roll a sausage shape with some brown fondant
roll the sausage a little thinner in the middle
Wrap the sausage shape around the chin to give the dog his cheeks
Smooth the cheeks nicely and neatly and make a little line with your quilting too where the nose will fit on
Using the sharper end of your quilting tool make some 'freckles'
Using the back of your quilting tool make some lines into the cheeks for 'chubby' character
Freckles and lines done
Add your sugar pearls for eyes
Using the quilting too make some little lines around the eyes
And on the side of the fac e
also make some eyebrow arches with the quilting tool
Make a little nose from some black fondant
Stick the nose on and make up some eyebrows as pictured
Attache the eyebrows just above the eyes at an angle
Roll 2 tear drop shapes for the ears and flatten them as pictured
add a little glue and attach the ear as pictured and bend it over
curl up the end of the ear as pictured
Using your quilting tool make a little line in the top of the ear ... for effect of course
Ears done .
Use the back of a paintbrush or a ball tool and make little indents for the teeth
Roll out 2 small teeth
Attach the teeth to the chin/cheeks and voila you have a bulldog!
