You will need:
Sponge cake, buttercream, ganache;
white, yellow, red and black fondant;
Red and black food colors, vodka, gold food spray color;
Wilton tips #12 and 2A;
Modelling tools and thin brush;
Cake board
1. Trim your cakes and stoke it. I used 5 3/4 cake board. Put crumbs aside, you’ll need it later. Chill the cake for 30 mins.
2. Carve it to make “cat” shape. Mix together cake crumbs and a little bit of buttercream. Make cat’s paws. Chill for 30 mins.
3.Ganache it. Use clean small piece of plastic to smooth it. Let it dry. Use a ganache to sculpt cat’s ears and nose. Make a tail from snake of fondant.
4. Spray a little bit of water all over the cat. Roll out yellow fondant and cover the cake.
Smooth it.
5. Use tips to draw cat’s face. I used tip #12(narrow side) for cat’s nous, #12(wide side) for cat’s mouth and 2A(wide side) for eyes.
Cut out black circle(#12 narrow side) for nous, 9 white circles(#12 narrow side) for collar pattern, 2 white circles(2A wide side) and 2 black circles(A2 wide side) for eyes, 2 small red triangles for ears.
Mix a little bit of red color with vodka and draw mouth and claws.
Use black to draw cat’s whiskers and eyelashes. I used toothpick instead of brush))
Cut circle(wide side 2A) out of yellow fondant and spray it with gold.
Cut 3/4"wide strip out of red fondant. Measure your cat’s neck to find out the length.
Make a collar and put gold medal.
